25 days!

Just 25 days left until James is home. I cannot believe how fast this year went by. At the beginning of the year the days dragged on, but as always time flies by towards the end. However, I know these last days are going to take its time passing by. The kids and I move out of our house on January 9 and into a 2 bedroom TLF (temporary living facility on base). I am so ready to be out of this house. The movers picked up all of our stuff on November 7th, so we have been living with the bare minimals. We have two couches (that we plan on giving away before we leave), a TV, Wii, some toys, an end table that our mini Christmas tree sits on, a mattress for each kid, an air mattress for myself, and a few things for our kitchen. It will be so nice to sleep on a real bed!

Just a week after James gets home we fly to Germany to start our new adventures! We leave bright and early at 7 am and arrive in Germany at 8am (1am Central time). We will be living in a 3 bedroom TLF room until we can find a house in a village outside of base. We do not want to live on base at all, but I think it might be hard finding a place to live that allows pets. Because we shipped all of our stuff over there SO early it will be waiting for us by the time we get there. In fact, our household goods should be there in just a few days. I drove the car down to St. Louis to the port after Thanksgiving so that should be there by the end of this month as well.

I shouldn't say this quite yet, but so far this move has been pretty easy. Everything is falling into place so far. We'll see how it goes once we get to Germany though.
