Pictures

James went sky diving for his 30th birthday. Here are a few pics from his dive in August. He loved it.

Our softball team went to championships last month. Its an All Forces European championship tournament. We placed first place. This is a picture of both men's and women's Spangdahlem teams.

Wyatt's first day of Kindergarten. He didn't do well when we dropped him off. But when I picked him up that afternoon he said he would never cry again and that he loved it. He has had no problems going to school since. He even loves riding the bus to and from school.

James and I went to a winefest in Bernkastel, Germany. Its a very cute little village with so much personality. We had such a good time.

Me and the vineyards. There is a castle ruins up on the hill.

Gorgeous view of the Mosel river and Bernkastel.

He was making fresh candy.

This wine was fantastic! Its new wine and hasn't been through the fermentation process  yet.

YES!!!!

I have REAL working internet!!! YIPEEE!!!!! They JUST hooked it up 2 minutes ago, and its working great :D

Still no home phone, but we really do not care about that at all.

After I do a few things around the house, maybe some homework too, I'll be back to finally post pictures from the past few months.

Garlic

Look what we have growing in our backyard. This garlic is SO good!

Internet on its way!!

Finally, our internet issue is being resolved.... I hope. Our landlord is in town at the moment. He decided to put the contract in his own name and go through a different company. He would be able to make sure they do what needs to be done, without them taking advantage of an American. The company told him there was no open port for internet anymore at our village. They were all being used. So instead of getting internet that way, the company is giving us wireless internet. We get the signal through 3G or something similar. We are told that it is much faster than the normal internet too. I just hope we actually get it this time with no problems. It won't be next week, but maybe by the end of the month. :D

Italy, Castles, Friends, and Tball

A few weeks back I went to Italy for a softball tournament. I had lots of fun camping out and playing some ball. The weather was beautiful and hot. We took a short trip up to Pisa to see the tower. I have to say, it was pretty cool looking but the surrounding area was a bit trashy. We also had some amazing Gelato and real italian pizza (yummy)!

Some of the girls right after we got to our camp site.

My tent. By the end of the night the woods were filled with campers.

The softball team in Pisa, Italy.

Really, REALLY good Gelato

The girls and guys softball teams.

So touristy, but hey, I had to hold it up too :D

A real italian pizza oven.

Our friends recently moved to Ramstein AB, Germany. They were stationed with us in Minot. Ramstein is about an hour drive from our base. We had them come over for the weekend to spend some time together. We took them to a castle ruins in Manderscheid which is not too far from our base. After that we headed back to our house, took paddle boats on the lake, and then grilled out.

Devin, Kylee, Caleb, Wyatt, and Bryden. You don't know how many shots it took to get the kids to all look the same direction!

I think they were tired of pictures.

Our family.

Stacy and me

They were having some festivities at the lake when we went. This was a really cool game. You had to slide the beer mug across a soapy table to see how close to the other edge you could get it.

Kylee has loved Tball this year. She does not even need the T to hit the ball. This season is over, but I know she will want to play again next year.

Kylee and Cloee. They are such good friends.

Kylee had a really good hit!!

I will try to upload some pictures of our short notice trip to Virginia before we leave on the 23rd.

Virginia and Emergency Leave

Friday afternoon we were notified that James' step-mother, Deb, passed away unexpectedly. The Red Cross was able to get our family plane tickets back to Virginia for the funeral. We are currently at James' mom's house until we head back to Germany on June 23rd. I'm glad we are able to spend some time with family, but I wish it wasn't under these circumstances.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday.
